The Trial of Edward Snowden/ Main
- Prosecution
Elizabeth Guzzi starts of the trail, and states the guilt of Edward for treason and stealing. He committed treason by telling china and Russia that the NSA was spying on them. Also the NSA saved 3,000 lives, and stopped 5 terrorist acts on the USA. The NSA also saved 15,000 lives due to ser valence on their technology. Do to espionage the prosecution believe that Edward should go to jail for at least 30 years. Also the NSA isn't looking at everyone's technology, they are just checking up on any posable terarits attacks. Edward cost America millions of dollars.
- Defense
Lexi Tompkins starts off by comparing Edward Snowdens trial to Daniel Elspberg's trial in 1971. She believes that Edward should have the same outcome of Daniel's trial, and that being free, and let go. Snowden didn't leak and military plans or any of that, he leaked what he believed that the rest of America should know, and that being, that we are all being spied on. Edward Snowden is innocent, just like Daniel.
